The Driver’s Academy course at Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama is a Workforce Readiness program designed to prepare young people to:
-
Take their driver’s license exam
-
Legally operate a motor vehicle
-
Create a plan to get a job and purchase a vehicle
-
Communicate with law enforcement
Teens who develop these skills have a higher likelihood of:
-
Staying in school and continuing their education
-
Obtaining and keeping a job
-
Establishing a career track
"Earning my driver's license was a pivotal part of my life. I'm thankful for the role that Driver's Academy and the Workforce Readiness Program played in getting me where I am today."
- Charles Ayers, 2021 University of South Alabama Graduate
